This large illustrated poster, titled "Where We Grow Our Trees," was produced in 1953 by American Forest Products Industries. It is an educational map that presents the various forest regions of the United States and the predominant tree species. The map delineates forest areas with color codes explained in a key (Northern Forest, Western Forest, etc.). Beautiful illustrations of trees, such as the Douglas Fir, Ponderosa Pine, and Black Walnut, are superimposed on their respective growing zones. A text insert, accompanied by black and white photos of the "Tree Farm" system, explains the importance of sustainable forest management as a renewable resource. With its typical 1950s graphic style, this piece is perfect for wall decoration that is both vintage, industrial, and informative. The map measures 92 cm by 63 cm.
