This illustrated map of the Moon is a work of cartographic art depicting the various seas, mountains, and craters on the lunar surface. It is the work of Abbé Théophile Moreux, a French priest and astronomer renowned for his work in popularizing science. The information presented on the map is detailed and organized by quadrant, with indications for the Seas of Clouds, Rains, Serenity, and Tranquility. The names of the craters and mountain ranges are clearly marked. Although he died in 1954, his works continued to be published and disseminated thereafter. The map measures 76 cm by 56 cm.
