This antique map of Paris shows the city's 12 municipalities, created by the Law of 19 Vendémiaire Year IV (October 11, 1795) to reorganize the territory of the Republic and the city of Paris. It would be repealed by the law on the extension of Paris's limits, championed by Baron Haussmann in 1859.

Made by cartographer and publisher Pierre Jean, this linen-backed map dates from 1797 and its unfolded dimensions are 83.5x57cm.

Condition:

Good condition, canvas worn in places. Please note, my maps are old and are not always in perfect condition!
