This large advertising map, created for a Menier Chocolate "Collection-Competition," illustrates the "Grand Circuit des Capitales." The map depicts a vast territory stretching from Europe to the Far East, via North Africa and the Middle East. A red dotted route connects the capitals, each marked by an emblematic monument (the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Colosseum in Rome, the Kremlin in Moscow). The map is richly decorated with drawings depicting the fauna, flora, inhabitants in traditional costumes, and typical means of transport of each region. This map is flanked by its original borders intended for the competition, with numbered boxes and a "Collector's Bulletin" to fill out. The map measures 100 cm by 65 cm.
