Retro tourist and geographical map of Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) - 1992

This vintage map of Ho Chi Minh City, still often referred to as Saigon at the time, depicts the city as it was in the early 1990s, shortly after the 1992 Vietnamese Constitution, marking a period of transition and urban growth. The map is divided into districts in bright colors (orange, pink, green, and pale yellow), highlighting the density of the city center and the expansion of peripheral areas. District and street names are shown in Vietnamese, and for the main title, in Vietnamese characters (THÀNH PHỐ HỒ CHÍ MINH) and Chinese characters. Special attention is paid to tourist features with the identification of points of interest, symbolized by icons (crosses for hospitals, symbols for schools/universities, and the main post office). The Saigon River (Sông Sài Gòn) and its tributaries are clearly delineated. An inset in the lower left corner offers a closer, more detailed view of the historic heart (District 1) of the city. Tan Son Nhat Airport is also visible to the northwest. The map is a fold-out format, designed to be convenient for residents and visitors. The map measures 53.5 cm by 71.5 cm.
